RYAS
Ryas can be ordered as do-it-yourself-kits, to be stitched onto a base fabric or to be weaved in a loom. A rya can also be ordered as ready-made. A woven rya might differ slightly from the mentioned size depending on the individual weaver.
A stitched rya rug
A kit for a stitched rya rug contains a base fabric, material for yarn blends, a graphic drawing, written instructions, rya guide sticks, tapestry needles and a care guide. The rya has been started with a few stitches. The base fabric’s warp is 100% linen and the weft is 100% wool.
A woven rya rug
A kit for a woven rya rug contains material for yarn blends, weft for the hem, a graphic drawing, written instructions and a care guide. The warp and base weft are not included in the rug kit but can be ordered separately. The base weft is grey 100% wool yarn. The ready-made warp is a Finnish 18-ply 100% cotton twine yarn. The length of the warp is 3,8 meters.
Ready-made rya rugs
Our ready-made rya rugs are woven in a loom by professional weavers in Finland. We use 100% worsted wool yarn (TEEMA) in all of our ready-made rya rugs.
Embroidered products
Embroidered products can be ordered either as do-it-yourself kits or as ready-made products. The ready-made products are embroidered by hand in Finland.
Materials for embroidery and cross-stitch products
In embroidery products the base fabric is either 100% linen or 100% wool. The embroidery yarn is 100% cotton mouline yarn or 100% worsted wool yarn.
In cross-stitch products the base fabric is 100% cotton canvas and the embroidery yarn is 100% worsted wool yarn.
Embroidery kits
The embroidery kit includes a base fabric, onto which the model is printed, a needle, instructions for the used stitches and a colour print of the pattern. Fabric shrinkage and seam allowance are taken into consideration.
The cross-stitch kit includes a base fabric, a graphic drawing, a needle, instructions for the used stitches and a colour print of the pattern. Fabric shrinkage and seam allowance are taken into consideration.
The inner cushion is not included in the kit.
ORDER
The products can be ordered via the online store. The order confirmation will be sent to the subscriber’s email address. You can also order the product as cash-on-delivery item or pick it up at our showroom, Friitalantie 11 C, 28400 Ulvila. When a rya rug is not available in our stock, a 30% prepayment is applied.
THE PAYMENT SERVICE PROVIDER
Paytrail Oyj (2122839) functions both as payment service provider and implementer in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail will appear as the receiver of payment on your bank statement or on your credit card bill. Paytrail will then send the payment to the service provider. Paytrail Oyj has permission to function as a payment service institution. In case of reclamation please contact the provider of the product first.

SHIPPING
We ship rya kits, embroidery kits and ready-made ryas and embroideries by parcel post. You can also order the product as cash-on-delivery or pick it up at our showroom, Friitalantie 11 C, 28400 Ulvila.
Domestic orders (in Finland)
The cost for shipping ryas or rya kits is 20€/product.
The cost for shipping embroidery kits or embroidered products is 15€/shipment.
International orders

Via Paytrail you can use all the following card payment services::

Walley Invoice / Instalment Payment
You can pay your purchases up to 5000€ with the help of Walley Invoice / Instalment Payment. Walley Invoice offers you always at least 30 interest-free* payment days and up to 60 interest-free* payment days. The invoice expires the last day of the month following your purchase. (*Payment time interest is 0%, notification fee 2,95€ will be added to the first invoice)You can pay the whole invoice by the due date or alternatively choose to pay in 1-36 monthly payments.
The Part Payment plan starts automatically if you pay the lowest amount of the month, which is marked on your invoice. If you wish, you can also pay bigger part payment amounts or pay off the whole amount of the invoice. The monthly interest is 1,6 % per month, which equals in the nominal annual interest of 19,20 %. A notification fee 2,95€ will be added to the invoice monthly, whereupon the real annual interest calculated for a purchase of 1000€ is 21,3 %.
When you choose the Walley Invoice / Instalment Payment you receive your goods before you pay for them. This makes product exchanges and returns safer and more flexible.
Together with Walley, we offer invoice and instalment payments.When selecting invoice or instalment payments, you receive your goods before you pay. You can then choose to pay the whole amount at once or to break up the payments into smaller instalments. Due date can vary and is presented on the invoice sent to you. Delivery method and possible fees added is shown in the checkout before confirming the purchase. A small credit check is carried out, which in some cases requires credit information. We offer a 14-day return policy to all post parcels. The purchase can be returned free via postal services (domestic orders). If you wish to return your order, please contact our customer service (+358469655293 or info@suomenkasityonystavat.fi). The cost of the order will be refunded once the returned item is received. Shipping costs will not be refunded.

COLOURS AS THEY APPEAR IN THE ONLINE STORE
All colours shown in the online store product pictures may not be exact. We borrow material color samples for our customer to ensure colour accuracy.
COPYRIGHT
All the designs in the online store are designed by Finnish artists for The Friends of Finnish Handicraft. The work instruction you receive within the kit gives you the right to produce one sample of the design. It is strictly prohibited to copy or lend the graph drawings and instructions or produce a rya or an embroidery for commercial use through other than The Friends of Finnish Handicraft.
