You can easily learn how to sew a rya rug with Kontio. The motif of the rya is an adaptation from Kotihyvä rya rug designed by Ilona Jalava.
The kit includes everything you need to sew one rya rug:
– base fabric
– ready made yarn blends
– graphic drawing
– written instructions
– rya guide stick
– tapestry needle
The size of Kontio is about 17 cm × 18 cm.
The base fabric’s warp is 100% linen and the weft is 100% wool.
The pile yarn is 100% combed yarn, spun and dyed in Finland.
